The SURGE COMMANDER 1.5 K vacuum

Almost Valentine’s Day and I
have many thoughts. When I was
almost eight years old, I had a lit
tle sister bom February 14. How
ever, she did not live to be more
than 12 years old. Doctors in that
day did not have the knowledge
that they do today.
On a happier note, Allen and I
are. helping to plan a Valentine
Dance. Thus, I have helped to
make about 100 paper carnations.
I was really surprised at the beauty
of the pink, white and red flowers.
Of course, I had to be shown how
to make them. Even planning and

buying the refreshments for a
large group takes time. And, I am
the one responsible for the adver
tising prior to v the event. This
means meeting publication dead
lines.
Recently, we attended a large
funeral of a friend. Many people
paid tribute to his life’s accomp
lishments. He was active in many
organizations and had a variety of
experiences including farming,
church work, and big business.
Not everyone can fill so many dif
ferent shoes.

has decided to work fewer days on
the farm. We just had a 47th wed
ding anniversary and every day
since then he has worked on the
dairy farm. Now he feels just a
few days a week will be enough.
So, he has been doing some neces
sary jobs her at home plus doing
more reading.
He is making holes in locust
posts for a rail fence. I’m glad he
has a woodworking shop. I tell
people that at least that gets him
“out of the kitchen.” When I bake
pies or try to follow a complicated
recipe it is nice not to be disturb
ed. How I ever did that with six
children clamoring for attention, I
do not know.
