DELMARVA BROILER/FRYER
MARKET. FEDERAL-STATE
Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was modente to good. Offerings varied
from balanced to fully adequate. Live sup
plies were generally moderate. Weights
were mixed and irregular in a full range;
however, some plants were running much
lighter than desired, and as a result, were
projecting some curtailment in late week
operations. Processing schedules remained
very heavy. Less than trucklot asking
prices were unchanged at 47 to 58 cents.
Trade sentiment was mostly steady. In the
parts complex, leg quarters and whole
breast were in tight supply. Other items
were noted at balanced or available,
depending on shipper.

NORTHEAST BROILER/FRYER
PARTS - PART I FEDERAL-STATE
Trucklot buying interest was mixed and
irregular. Offerings were tight and held
with confidence on bone-in breasts, in
close balance on leg quarters, and general
ly at least adequate on other items with
interest limited. Demand was hampered
greatly at fast food outlets due to the storm
and current business was developing slow
ly. Retail outlets were also attempting to
return to normal'following the irregular
buying patterns caused by the weekend
snow. Trade sentiment was steady but cau-
tious.
