Prices were generally unchanged to
instances lower. The market tone was bare
ly steady and cautious. Demand for imme
diate delivery was very light, and centered
on less-than-trucklot volumes. First quarter
inquiry was light, and many buyers had
finalized commitments earlier this month.
Floor stocks were adequate. Shell egg
offerings were adequate. Liquid and frozen
eggs processed under federal inspection in
the Eastern region for the week ending
December 24, 1994 were 10% less than
last week, and 21% above the same week a
year ago.

was moderate to good. Seller offerings
were adequate and in generally good
balance. Live supplies were mostly mod
erate, weights were m a full range of light
to heavy, but were desirable at most plants
Processing schedules were very heavy
Less than trucklol asking prices were
unchanged at 48 to 59 cents Trade senti
ment was steady to fully steady. In the
parts complex, wings remained in a range
of tight to short. Legs and leg quarters were
adequate and were clearing well. Breast
items were less freely available, but
remained fully adequate for current needs.
