COLUMBUS, Ohio The
holiday season is traditionally the
time to enjoy and serve eggnog for
snacks and entertaining. This year,
the American Dairy Association
Mid East (ADA Mid East) is
working to boost eggnog sales by
conducting several promotional
activities throughout the Mid East
UDIA service area.
In a pilot program, patrons in
selected supermarkets will receive
eggnog samples while shopping
the dairy case. As consumers try
samples of eggnog, demonstrators
will track those who are tasting
eggnog for the very first time.
“We’re trying to expose new
people to the delicious flavor of
eggnog, thereby building incre
mental sales,” says June Wedd,
dairy marketing specialist for
ADA Mid East. Additionally, con
sumers at the demonstration sites
are provided with American Dairy
Association recipes which call for
eggnog.
