Monday, 350,000 pounds of tobac
co were sold, for an average price
of $1.15 per pound, according to
Eric Probst, auction manager. That
was up considerably from the start
of the auction season last year.
It was the first time in recent
memory that the sale bam was
filled to capacity. Normally, the

et. Top price for tobacco on Monday was $1.25 per pound.
