Wolff Named
‘Friend Of
Extension’
HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co.)
State Agriculture Secretary
Boyd E. Wolff has received the
State Friend of Extension Award
for 1994.
The award was presented by the
Alpha Omicron Chapter of epsilon
Sigma Phi, the national honorary
extension fraternity, at the chap
ter’s annual meeting in State
College.
“I am honored to be Pennsylva
nia’s Friend of Extension for
1994,” Wolff said. “I’ve had great
respect for the Extension faculty
and staff for many years, as a 4-H
member in my youth, as a student
at Penn State University, when I
operated my dairy farm, and in my
current role as Secretary of
Agriculture.”
Epsilon Sigma Phi has chapters
in every state. The fraternity
addresses issues which are vital to
various states. Friends of Exten
sion for each state are recognized
on an annual basis. Names of state
awardees are submitted to the cen
tral office of Epsilon Sigma Phi,
which will identify a National
Friend of Extension sometime next
year.
