NOVEMBER 22, 1994
NATIONAL EGG MARKET - AT A
GLANCE:
Prices were unchanged to lower for
mediums in the Mid-Atlantic region, and
the balance of prices were unchanged. The
market tone remained steady to weak with
an underlying cautiousness. Demand con
tinued to cover the full range, and was
moderate to very gopd. Retail specials pro
vided the best cartoned egg movement.
Supplies were adequate or available. Most
breakers, slaughter plants, and packing
plants planned reduced schedules for the
Thanksgiving holiday. Breaking stock sup
plies were fully adequate for the very light
demand, and prices were unchanged. Live
hen offerings were at least adequate for the
unaggressive demand, and the undertone
was about steady.
