Titus Stoner of Landisville, Pa.
was recently recognized as district
dealer of the year by PARS Inc., a
distributor of Custom Farm Seed
(CFS) products. The district dealer
of the year is the top CFS dealer
award presented for excellence in
sales and service. Stoner became a
CFS dealer in 1988.

CVC Hires Dairy Specialist
SHIPPENSBURG (Franklin
Co.) Cumberland Valley Co
operative (CVC) has announced
the addition of Gerald (Gerry)
Potter to its staff.
Potter is joining CVC as a dairy
specialist and will be working in
the Cumberland County area.
Potter brings a broad base of ex
perience with him to CVC. Potter
has been in the agriculture field
since obtaining a bachelor’s de
gree in agriculture business man
agement from Penn State.
Potter started his experience in
the feed business during college
by doing local millwork and mar
keting studies with local livestock
farmers. After college he started a
management training program and
became a plant manager in 1983.

from 160 to 225 PTO horsepower.
The John Deere 3000 series

New Name For
Crop Trade
Association
WASHINGTON, D.C. The
National Agricultural Chemicals
Association (NACA) has changed
its name to the American Crop
Protection Association (ACPA).
“ACPA’s member companies
are world leaders in existing and
emerging agricultural technolo
gies for today and the 21 st Centu
ry. Our new name reinforces the
continued central role of synthet
ic chemistry in agriculture and
captures the potential of today’s
biological and bio-engineered
products,” said Jay J. Vroom,
president, American Crop Protec
tion Association.
“Crop protection is more than
who we are, it is what we do. It
connotes strength and health, and
signifies our continued commit
ment to the miracle of American
agriculture,” said Vroom;
ACPA was founded in 1933 as
the Agricultural Insecticide and
Fungicide Association. In 1949,
the mane was changed to the
National Agricultural Chemicals
Association. With 80 members,
ACPA represents more than 95
percent of the nation’s manufac
turers, formulators and distribu
tors of insecticides, herbicides,
fungicides and other products
used to protect crops.
