Fay B. Strickler was elected to
the office of vice-president for pro
fessional development of the
National Association of Extension
Home Economists. Fay will be
responsible to provide a variety of
professional development oppor
tunities for extension profession
als that focus on new issues and
technology, interdisciplinary
programming, and communication
and marketing techniques, and
actively seek and promote member
involvement in annual sessions as
planners, presenters, facilitators,
and evaluators. Fay served as the
national arrangements committee
chair during 1994 and chair-elect
during 1993 and she served as
president of the Pennsylvania
Association of Extension Home
Economists during 1989-91.

Extension Home Economists for
leadership and implementation of
well-planned programs with

Over her 21 year career, Mae Hos
tetter has devoted her efforts to
strengthening the 4-H home eco
nomics and leadership programs
through volunteer development,
not only in Berks, Dauphin, and
Armstrong Counties, but also
through providing program sup
port to staff in 16 counties in
Southeastern Pennsylvania. For
five years. Mae had served in the
role of regional program leader in
4-H/Youth Development.

$210,000.
The 40 head of
grade Holstein cows
averaged $ 1100 and the
calves averaged $6OO.
