Daschle Visits Chester Farm To Support Wofford
TOUGHKENAMON (Chester Co.) Senator Tom Daschle (D-SD) campaigned on
behalf of Harris Wofford In a swing through Bucks and Chester Counties Tuesday, in
Chester Co. Daschle toured Modern Mushroom Farms and praised Wofford’s commit
ment to Pennsylvania farmers and agriculture issues in a speech to farm employees.
Daschle serves on the Senate Agriculture and Finance Committees and has worked
with Wofford in the Senate.
“From the very beginning, Senator Wofford came to the Senate knowing the impor
tance of trade and agricu Itural issues to Pennsylvania, particularly the need to expand ,
trade and open foreign markets for American farm product,” Daschle said. “He formed
an Agriculture Advisory Committee to ensure that he plays a pro-active leadership
role and has a direct line of communication into the agriculture community to hear and
understand their needs.”
