Magic” is the theme for the annual
holiday meeting sponsored by the
Penn State Cooperative Extension
Service.
The all-day session, which is
open to the public, takes place on
Thursday, November 10, at the
York County 4-H Center near
Bair from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30
p.m.
The morning program features
“Holiday Decorating: An Unreal
Experience” by Christenna Stamm.
She hopes she will spark your
imagination again this year with
more of her creative decorating
ideas.
Bob Bracilano headlines' an
afternoon program of diversified
entertainment with his “God and
Country” presentation.

The program immediately fol

16mm film, “Lessons From a
Sheep Dog” with Philip Keller.
Keller, speaks from the unique
perspective of firsthand experi-

“The Magic of Laughter” by Nina
Redding, “Victorian Christmas
Ornaments” by Justine Landis,
from York Historical Society, and
“Fashions Plus” from a local fash
ion shop. Homemakers groups
will have exhibits on display
throughout the day.
Tickets at $4 each may be pur
chased from the Extension Office,

ets is November 1. No tickets will

LEESPORT (Berks Co,)
Leesport Fanners Market was the
site of the 1994 Berks County 4-H
Beef Club Roundup and Sale.
The champion steer, shown by
Tom Newpher, 18, of Fleetwood,
sold for $l,lOO to Rose Valley
Farms of New Tripoli: The steer
weighed 1,250 pounds and was
champion middleweight. The
reserve champion steer, shown by
Troy Gelsinger, 17, of Wern
ersville, sold for $1,025 to Rolling
Stone Polled Hereford. The steer
weighed 1,175 pounds and was
champion lightweight.
John F. Lengel Fuels pur
chased the champion heavyweight
steer shown by: Jeremy Man
willer. Lengel also purchased
Kyle Zerbe’s steer.
Champion steer was exhibited
by Thomas Newpher at the Berks
County 4-H Beef Club Roundup.
