    York County FFA Names Scholarship Winners
SPRING GROVE (York Co.)
Nichole M. Willwert, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Willwert (John and Brenda) of R
D 5, Red Lion, has been selected
to receive the Carroll F.
Thompson Scholarship. The
recipient was selected by the
York County Vocational Agri
cultural Teachers Association to
receive the scholarship which is
given in memory of Carroll F.
Thompson who was formerly a
vocational agriculture teacher at
Spring Grove and Dover high
schools.
Willwert is a 1991 graduate of
the Red Lion Area High School
and has completed four years of
agricultural education. She is
studying dairy and animal science
at the Pennsylvania State
University with plans of becom
ing an animal nutritionist.
Willbert has participated in the
Pennsylvania FFA horse judging
contest held at Penn State. She
has also received awards in
numerous contests such as inter
view, livestock judging, dairy
judging, public speaking, parlia
mentary procedure, meats identi-

1990. She has served as the York
County FFA president and served
the Red Lion Area FFA Chapter
two years as president.
Tracey Willwert, the second
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Willwert was selected to receive
the York County FFA scholar
ship. Willwert is a 1994 graduate
of the Red Lion Area High
School and is studying account
ing at the Yorktowne Business
Institute.
Tracey served as president of
the Red Lion Area IT 3 A Chapter
for two years after serving as
chapter reporter and. chapter sec
retary. She served in the capacity
of reporter of the York County
FFA organization for a year.
Tracey received the Star in
Agricultural Production award
for the South Central Region of
the FFA in Pennsylvania in 1994,
the Kiwanis Club Outstanding
FFA Girl of York County in 1993,

son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Keslar
(Ronald and Janet) of R D 2,
Dillsburg, who is attending
DeVry Institute majoring in
telecommunications management
with plans to be a computer net
work manager.
Keslar has recently served as
treasurer of the student govern
ment association at the Penn
State-York campus. He has partic
ipated in the PA FFA Farm Man
agement contest held at Penn
State University, and has been in
the York County FFA public
speaking contest.
