SUMMARY
Compared to last Monday; Feeder steers
$l.OO-$3.00 higher; feeder heifers over
700 lbs. $l.OO higher. Steer calves steady.
Heifer and heifer calves under 700 lbs.
Sl.OO-$4.00 lower. Demand very good for
yearling steers and heifers. Demand very
good for steer calves and an increased
supply of thinner conditioned heifer
calves; demand light for fleshy heifer
calves. Quality of supply improved from
last week and mostly average. Yearlings in
mostly medium to slightly thin flesh with
average to full weigh-ups. Slaughter cows
steady to $l.OO higher with very good
packer demand. Slaughter bulls steady to
$l.OO lower with light demand. Much of
Oklahoma's western wheat belt received
1-4 inches of rain since last Friday.
Receipts this week 8,875: last week
12,561; last year 8,402. Supply consisted
of 49 percent yearlings and calves over 600
lbs; 46 percent calves under 600 lbs; and 5
percent cows and bulls.
