READING (Berks Co.) — Reading Fairgrounds was the site of the 1994 Berks County Sheep and Lamb Club Roundup Sale. The sale on Saturday after noon featured 34 market lambs. The grand champion lamb, shown by Jason Manwiller, sold for $4BO to Plain ’n Fancy Kitchens, Inc. of Schaefferstown. The lamb, which also won cham pion heavyweight, weighed 114 pounds. The reserve champion lamb, shown by Tom Newpher, sold for $335 to East Penn Manu facturing, Lyon Station. The lamb, which also won reserve heavyweight, weighed 124 pounds. The champion pair of lambs was shown by 10-year-old Cathryn Levan. Cathryn’s lambs weighed 105 and 115 pounds and sold for $240 to Pioneer Grange of Topton. Pioneer Grange also bought Nicole Knepp’s lamb for $l4O. National Penn Bank of Boyer town purchased the champion lightweight lamb for $250. David Newpher was the owner of the lamb, which weighed 90 pounds. Other buyers included Penn sylvania National Bank, who pur chased lambs from Justin Levan, Walter Wayne Stewart, and Morgan Way, P.O.
