well. It was also the county bred
champion.
Jeremy Stair, Berlin, had the
reserve champion and reserve
county bred champion.
The grand champion market
lamb was owned by Lindsay
Schmuck, Rockwood, the reserve
grand champion owned by Luke
Svonavec, Rockwood.
Home grown champion market
lamb belonged to Jenna Svonavec
and reserve home grown champ
ion, Angela Livengood, from
Boswell.
Joshua Will, Berlin, had the
grand champion market swine
with Kristin Randall, Somerset
having the reserve grand
champion.
Market steer judges were Terry

Willard Lemaster, Martinsburg,
W. Va. Boggess also did lamb
judging. Howard Henderson, Lit

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has approved one (1)
pesticide credit, category 4, 11, or 15 for attending Dr. Dave Henzler,
U.S.D.A., presentation on “Effective Rodent control” at the Northeast
Poultry Show, Lancaster Host Resort. Dr. Henzler is scheduled for 2:00
p.m. in the exhibit hall on Wednesday, September 28, 1994. One (1)
pesticide credit, category 4, 11, or 16 will also be given for Dr. Jim
Arends, N.C. State University, presentation on “Controlling Darkling
Beetles” in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday, September 29, at 2:00 p.m.
The exhibit hall is open to the public FREE OF CHARGE from 12:00
noon to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, and Thursday, September
29,1994.

dates* leadership and FFA activi
ties are also considered by the
national, state and local FFA offi
cials who select the finalists.
Each finalist will receive
$l,OOO from the National FFA
Foundation. The national winner
will be awarded another $l,OOO.
In addition to the cash awards, the
four finalists will travel to Europe
with other national winners for an
international experience tour.'
