Angus Take Supreme Titles At York Fair Open Beef Show JOYCE BUPP York Co. Correspondent YORK (Yofk Co.)—Black proved to beautiful in the York Fair’s open class beef show, as the Angus champions bested other breed contenders to take the supreme female and bull banners. Proudly carrying out of the ring his first-ever supreme open class beef female award was 12- year-old Clinton “CJ.” Hoke of Hanover. His April 1993 junior yearling, “Queen Evelyn,” bred by the Gordon Shive family, best ed the reserve Angus female for breed honors, an early junior yearling exhibited by his sister, Sara Hoke. Supreme champion bull hon ors went to Robin Shive, Seven Valleys, exhibiting her junior yearling and junior champion bull. Reserve champion bull in the Angus division was a junior bull calf exhibited by Hidden Lane Farm, Spring Grove. Top Charolais breed honors all went to KC Acres of Abbotts town. In the Limousin finals, Ben Stine, East Berlin, claimed cham pion female honors, with the top bull award going to Jim Robison, Oley. Both reserve titles went to Jason Boyer, Abbottstown.
