Rexrath were program co-chair
persons. The theme for the day
was Safety and Roll Call was an
swered by a Safety hint /There
were 16 members and 4 guests
present to enjoy our luncheon.
The Ways & Means Committee
announced a “Goody” Auction for
the September meeting. Baked
goods, vegetables and fruits or
crafts can be brought and will all
be auctioned to the highest bidder.

The results of the County Fair at
the 4-H Center were given. Guess
Box was won by Sandy Hilly. Mi
chelle Miller, an 11-year-old
member of the York Co. 4-H
Lamb Club, talked to us about her
project and showed a video on her
lambs and judging at the York Fair
last year. She shows Hampshire
lambs and talked about exercising
and grooming as aids to achieving
a blue ribbon.
The next meeting will be held
on September 20 at the home of
Mary Carman.

The members of Berks County
Society of Farm Women Group 1,
along with their guests, enjoyed
their annual picnic at Levengood’s
Grove, Douglassville on August
21.
Plans for the picnic were com
pleted previously at the August
meeting of the group which was
held at the Oley home of Grace
Schaeffer. The meeting was
attended by sixteen members. At
