The market tone was steady. Demand cov ered the full range and was mostly mod erate into retail channels, and often good into food service and institutional avenues. Supplies of brown eggs remained short in New England, and light in other areas. White egg supplies were adequate or avail able. Breaking stock supplies were adequ ate from regular sources, and plants pro vided an unaggressive demand for addi tional supplies partially due to the upcoming holiday weekend.
