Prices were unchanged to higher for
white mediums in the Mid- Atlantic and
Midwest regions, higher to producers for
brown jumbos and extra-large in New Eng
land, and unchanged on the balance. The
market tone was steady to occasionally
firm on brown eggs and medium white
eggs, mostly steady to fully steady.
Demand was fair to very good, best where
schools opened, into vacation areas, and
where featured. Supplies of mediums and
browns were tight to adequate, and the
large sizes were usually Break
ing slock supplies were adequate for the
fair demand, and the trade sentiment was
steady to instances fully steady. Spent hen
offerings were at least adequate for the
mixed but mostly fair demand, and the
trade sentiment was generally steady.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was slow to fair at best Seller offerings
were fully adequate to ample on 3 pound
and heavier sizes; limited on lighter
weights. Live supplies were moderate to
heavy; weighu were mostly desirable to
heavy, often heavier than desired. Process
ing schedules were very heavy. Less than
trucklot asking prices were unchanged at
52 to 63 cents. Trade sentiment was barely
steady to weak. Breast items were adequate
but in closer balance, particularly whole
breasts. Leg items were adequate to fully
adequate with leg quarters in best balance.
Wings slowed and were in instances diffi
cult to {dace.
