Delmarva
Broiler/Fryer Market
Thursday, August 18,1994
Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
remained easy on the short supply of 2.5
pounds sizes; good on the adequate to tight
supply of 3 pound sizes, and fair at best on
the fully adequate heavier weights. Live
supplies were moderate. Weights were
heavier than desired at most plants; howev
er, some operations were reduced today
partly due to light weights. Processing
schedules remained very heavy. Less than
trucklot asking prices were unchanged at
52 to 63 cents. Trade sentiment was steady.
Boneless skinless breasts were in excess
and slow to clear. Bone-in breasts were
ample. Other parts were adequate in fairly
good balance.
