Farm Photographs 0f1994 Dairy Of Distinction Winners Harold and Janet Shearer’s family has been farming this Dairy of Distinc tion since 1939 when Harold’s father bought the farm. In April of this year, Donna and Jason Wadle took over the farm and have been doing very well with Registered Holstein cows that average 20,000 m 700 f 630 p. But right now It’s disappointingly dry. They have 475 acres with 25 in pasture and more acres that could be adapted to the new push to rotational graze the cows. They believe it takes diligent work and the ability to make things hap pen. Harold said when he was younger, farming was fun, but lately It has become more of a drag, so he is pleased that a young couple have taken over the dairy herd.
