Summer Fun At The 1994 Maryland State Fair The 113th Maryland State Fair is a sure bet for summer food, fun, and celebration. This 10-day festi val complete with home arts de monstrations, agricultural and livestock presentations, midways chills, live entertainment and horse racing will open Saturday, August 27 and run through Mon day, September 5 at the Timonium Fairgrounds in Baltimore County. The fairgrounds open at 8 a.m. for livestock and horse shows, de monstration halls open at 10 a.m., and the Midway opens at 11 a.m. on weekends and noon on week days. Fair Pass The Schuylkill County Fair As sociation announced their sale of one person week-long fair passes. This $6 pass will admit the same person each day to the Schuylkill County Fair, scheduled Monday, August 7 - Saturday, August 13. A new admission system will be used at the fairgrounds this year. Vehicles will enter the grounds and be parked immediate ly. Visitors will then enter the fair grounds through one of three ad mission gates. This new system will help eliminate a safety hazard of vehicles stopped on Route 895. Anyone more than six years of age will be charged $2 admission. On Wednesday, August 10, Senior Citizens Day, all seniors will enter free until 4 p.m. Also, a special handicapped entrance will be pro vided.
