Field Day Set for July 20
As announced in last month’s newsletter, the biannual Pennsylvania Veg
etable and Small Fruit Field Day will be held on Wednesday, July 20,
1994 at the Horticulture Research Farm located at the Russell E. Larson
Research Center at Rock Springs. The Horticulture Farm is located on
Route 45, west of Pine Grove Mills and east of Spruce Creek. The Field
Day will begin at 8:00 am with registration and refreshments followed by
tours of vegetable and small fruit research plots from 9:15 am until 12: IS
pm. Lunch will be served from 12:15 to 1:30. The afternoon will feature
machinery and field demonstrations and for those wishing, revisting of
field plots for closer observations. The field day will end at 5:00 pm.
In addition, there will be 12 to 18 exhibitors from industry and exten
sion near the main office complex open all day.
