    Fellowship Of Christian Farmers Forms Pa.
MANHEIM (Lancaster Co.)
Pennsylvania’s first chapter of the
Fellowship of Christian Fanners
(FCF) International was recently
formed. Plans are already under
way for an Aug. 20 picnic near
Wrightsville.
After several years of hearing
much talk about forming a Key
stone State chapter, Donald L.
Hershey of Manheim took the
matter into his own hands this
spring. All that was needed was a
little gentle inertia, because the
interest was there.
Some 75 farm and agribusiness
people gathered in a church near
Manheim to learn about the
fastest-growing farm group in the
United States. At that meeting, a
steering committee volunteered to

The national organization,
headed by Wilson Lippy, Hamps
tead, Md., includes more than
10,000 farmers and agribusiness
persons. It’s dedicated to building
and strengthening the Christian
faith among farm families and
friends in agriculture. It also
undertakes many mission projects
to disaster-stricken U.S. farm reg
ions, and to Mexico, South Ameri
ca, Africa, Europe and the Com
monwealth of Independent States
(formerly the Soviet Uniion.)
More-than 900 Pennsylvanians
are already affiliated with the
national association.

tional music, uplifting thoughts,
and a pork barbecue. Participants
should bring lawn chairs.
