In her farewell speech, outgoing
Lancaster County Dairy Princess
Marci Hamish said, “Tonight
closes a chapter of my life that
holds many wonderful moments.”
She said that her mom is the
dairy princess behind the dairy

any public recognition for his role,
he certainly deserved it according
to Marci. He was the one who nev
er held her back, who told her to go
ahead while he did the milking.
“I’ve gained new insight for the
dairy industry. I was very honored
to be able to promote and represent
it,” Marci said.
In other business, five awards
for Dairy of Distinction were given
to the following: Philip Crouse,
Stevens; David Garber, Lancaster;
Samuel and Miriam Long, Peach
