NARK STOLTZFUS State Envirothon June 2 DANVILLE (Mon tour) The eleventh Annual Pennsylvania State Envirothon will be hosted by PP&L Mon tour Preserve in Mon tour County on Friday and Saturday, June 24-25. Approximately 265 high school students will compete in the areas of aquatics, fores try, soils, wildlife, and current environmental issues. The environ mental issue for this year’s competition is acid rain. County conservation districts from S 3 of Pennsylvania’a 67 counties are expected to sponsor teams in this year’s event. The coun ty representatives quali fied for the statewide competition by winning local envirothons, in volving more than 5,200 youth. The State envirothon g is sponsored by the s State Conservation 9 Commission and the 9 Pennsylvania Associa- gL tion of Conservation Districts. The corporate 9 sponsor for the 1994 S Envirothon program is a Hershey Foods Cor- a poration.
