Angus enthusiasts paraded 235
entries at the 1994 Atlantic
National Junior Show on May 28
in Timonium, Md. Judge for the
event was David Hawkins of East
Lansing, Mich.
Topping the 114 entries in the
owned heifer show was T R A
Promise 329 exhibited by Adam
Duke of Kinston, N.C. She is an
April 1993 daughter of WSF
Grand Slam and was named late
spring heifer calf champion on her
way to the grand title.
Enn Krueger, Coatcsvillc, PA.,
received owned reserve grand
champion female honors with her
entry, Kruegers Blackbird 7048.
She is an October 1992 daughter
of R&J Maxima and was also
named senior heifer calf
champion.
In the 55-hcad brcd-and-owncd
heifer show, Patton Beatrice Mis
ty 336 shown by Beth Patton of
Crawfordsvillc, Ind., was named
graqd champion. She is an April
1993 daughter of Kessler Rain
man 002 and earlier lopped the
spring heifer calf division.
Rscrve grand champion bred
and-owned honors were presented
to Nccnah Hill of Bidwcll, Ohio.
Hill’s entry. Champion Hill
Rosetta Slone, is a March 1993
daughter of Century Touchstone
131. She was also named reserve
spring heifer calf champion.
Car Don Miss Devotion 8244
and her bull call sired by G A R
Sleep Easy 1009 were named
grand champion cow-calf pair.
She is a January 1992 daughter of
Rilo 2100 G D A R and was exhi
bited by Deanna Bloom of Wcst
villc, Ind
Taking reserve champion cow
calf honors were Rivcrchase
Eulima 118 and her bull calf sired
by G D A R Ruo 596 L T. She was
exhibited by Ashley Williams,
Kinston, N C, and is a November
1991 daughter of F F Slarstruck.
Beth Patton won her second
purple ribbon of the day receiving
grand champion bred-and-owned
bull honors for her entry, Patton
Leroy. He is a February 1993 son
of P J M Power 291.
Sarah Hill of Bidwcll, Ohio, led
Champion Hill Slone Impact to
the reserve grand champion bred
and-owned bull title. He is a Sep
tember 1993 son of Century
Touchstone 131.
Kevin and Brian Corbin of Eglon, W. Va., receive their
National Junior Angus Association Recognition Awards at
the 1994 Atlantic National Junior Angus Show in Tlmo
nium, Md. They obtained two levels of recognition: bronze
and silver. These levels are obtained by accumulating
points earned In four categories: association activities,
competition, performance testing, and production and
merchandising of Angus cattle. Pictured from left are:
Kevin; Brian; and James Fisher, director of junior activities
for the American Angus Association. They are the sons of
Richard and Sue Corbin of Eglon.
National Junior Show Attracts Angus Entries
In the steer competition, Lisa
Bloom, Wcstvillc, Ind., exhibited
the grand champion steer. Her
entry, Ernie, is an April 1993 son
of Patton Enticer and weighed
1,155 pounds and had a weight per
day of age of 2.87 pounds.
Car Don Barney shown by
Deanna Bloom was selected
reserve grand champion steer. He
weighed 1,164 pounds and had a
weight per day of age of 2.69
pounds and is a son of Rito 2100
G D A R.
Bloom also received overall
showmanship honors. She was
selected from the winners of the
novice, junior, intermediate, and
senior divisions for the title.

tack trunk, Ariat Boots, a hand
painted denim jacket, and much
more.
