with some continued cautiousness, or, an
undertone of stability were buyers
increased inquiry. Overall, demand was

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was generally noted as moderate, and best
on adequate to closely balanced supplies of
3 pound and lighter weights. 3.5 pound and
heavier sizes were fully adequate and
slower in clearing. Live supplies were
mostly moderate; weights were desirable
to heavy. Processing schedules were very
heavy. Lest than trucklot asking prices
were unchanged at 61 to 71 cents. Trade
sentiment was about steady. In the parts
complex, wings were in close balance at
most plants. Breast items were irregularly
available, but adequate overall. Leg items
varied in availability, but leg quarters were
at least adequate.

NATIONAL EGG - AT A GLANCE:
Prices were unchanged to lower on
mediums in the Midwest, unchanged on
the balance. The market tone was cautious
ly steady to weak. Demand was light to
mostly moderate, occasionally better
where featured and into food service chan
nels. Supplies were at least adequate or
available. Breakers received adequate shell
eggs from regular sources, and prices were
lower. Live hen maikets were generally
steady.

tenders from nearby production areas were
adequate and traded at the 200 level. Some
buying interest for late week deliveries and
for next two weeks was not yet booked.
Breast cutlets without tenders was irregu
larly distributed with most of the trades
reported at 1.95. Some product was offered
on an FOB price basis. The trade sentiment
was repotted as steady. Line run breasts
were in close balance with some tegular
commitments shorted today. Trading was
at steady prices but the undertone was fully
steady. Leg quarters were under pressure.
