    Students Recognized For Special Degrees
NEWARK, Del. At the Uni
versity of Delaware Honors Day
program recently, the achieve
ments of outstanding students
were recognized. The College of
Agricultural Sciences counted
numerous students among those
honored.
Eight students were nominated
for a Degree with Distinction.
Christine L. Bongiomo, animal
science and agricultural biochemi
stry, worked on “Differential
Activity of Microbial Phytase
Throughout the Castro-Intestinal
Tract of Chickens.” In the same
department, Brewster F. Kingham
received a Degree with Distinc
tion for work on “Studies with the
Mycoplasma Gallisepticum
Cytadhesins,” and Jennifer E.
Neal for research on “Identifica
tion of the Glycoprotein H. Gene
of Infectious Laryngotracheitis
Virus.” A Degree with Distinction
in entomology and applied ecolo
gy was awarded to Julia K. Bur
zon for her work on “Sexual
