Tmcklot buying interest was fair. Trad
ing for the upcoming holiday weekend was
slow to develop but the trade expects fairly
good demand the balance of this week.
Supplies cf boneless skinless breasts were
in close balance with current needs. Trad
ing was reported at fairly steady prices but
asking prices trended higher with very
little resistance noted. The trade sentiment
was fully steady. Line ran breasts were
adequate at steady prices. Buyers were
looking to book product for next week
deliveries. Leg quarters were fully adequ
ate, competitively priced, and pushed to
dear the market Wings were well cleared.

unchanged to higher for the large sizes in
New England, unchanged on the balance.
The market tone was steady to fully steady.
Demand was mostly moderate to instances
good where distribution began for the
Memorial Day holiday weekend, an<t
upcoming retail specials. Supplies were
generally adequate and extra eggs con
tinued to be held with confidence. Break
ing stock supplies were adequate for the
light to fair demand, and the trade senti
ment was steady. The market tone was
steady for light type hens, and supplies

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
continued to slow and was no belter than
moderate at most plants. Offerings were at
least adequate and were generally more
readily available on 3.S to 4.0 pound sizes.
Live supplies were at least moderate;
weights were often heavier than desired.
Processing schedules remained very
heavy. **Less than trucklot asking prices
were unchanged at 60 to 70 cents.** Trade
sentiment wu about steady. In the parts
complex, supplies were at least adequate.
Breast items were irregularly distributed
with bone-in breasts in closest balance.
Wings were adequate for the lighter buying
interest. Leg items, particularly leg quar
ters were available and slow in clearing.

to firni. Buyers were cautious as higher
asking prices were met with some resis
tance. Raw materials were usually adequ
ate, but further processors were selective
