Tnicklot buying interest was no better
than fair. Supplies of boneless skinless
breasts were adequate and traded at current
prices. However, buyers became increas
ingly cautious. Line ran breasts were avail
able at several shipping points. Product
was offered at steady prices but most buy
ers limited receipts to commitments. Most
buyers reported they were out of the mark
et unul the middle of neat week and
planned to wait for that market to develop.
Dark meat items were adequate for trade
needs and cleared at steady prices. Wings
were short of covering an active demand
and prices trended higher.

Movement of ready-to-cook whole birdi
wai fair to good, but flowing. Seller offer
ings were generally adequate. Live sup
plies were moderate; weights were desir
able to heavy. Processing schedules
remained vety heavy. Less than trucklot
asking prices were unchanged at 62 to 74
cents. Trade sentiment was steady. In the
pans complex, supplies were somewhat
uneven. Bone-in and boneless skinless
breasts were fully adequate for a generally
light and selective buying interest. Wings
were balanced to well cleared. Legs and
leg quarters were fully adequate at tome
plants, well balanced to closely cleared at
others.

The market tone was steady to firm in the
Northeast, and steady to ftilly steady else
where with the large sizes in the strongest
position. Demand was fair to good, best
where featured and into food service chan
nels. Supplies were generally adequate and
held or offered with confidence except
jumbos and extra- large were often tight
Breaking stock supplies were generally
adequate for the fair demand, and the
undertone was steady to fully steady. Light
type hen offerings were at least adequate
for the light to moderate demand, and the
undertone was about steady.
