Program For
Science, along with other exten
sion specialists are planning a
one-day satellite program which is
scheduled for June 2'. This pro
gram, called “Dairy On-Farm
Problem-Solving: The Process”
will provide a continuing educa
tion opportunity to those persons
who advise dairy producers at the
farm level. This includes farm
consultants, county extension
agents, feed company representa
tives and veterinarians.
The purpose of this program is
to introduce ag-professionals to a
systematic approach when identi
fying, quantifying, and develop
ing responses to on-farm prob
lems. This program will provide
introductory techniques in prob
lem-solving. Participants will be
encouraged to expand their think
ing and work cooperatively with
other ag-professionals when ex
amining farm problems.
The program will be divided in
to five segments. The problem
solving process will be the
foundation in which additional in
formation, including records, fa
cilities, animal inspection, and
feed delivery systems, will be bas
ed. Practice activities will allow
for an opportunity to apply these
