Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
was good and supplies continued to be well
cleared at most plants. Live supplies
remained moderate to heavy; weights were
desirable to slightly heavier than desired.
Less than tracklot asking prices were 1
cent higher at 57 to 69 cents. Trade senti
ment was fully steady to higher. In the
parts complex, breast items were in short
supply. Leg quarters were generally no
more than adequate. Wings were adequate
to fully adequate and were moving in clos
er balance with demand.

GLANCE
Pricei were unchanged to lowei m New
England and the Midwest, generally
unchanged elsewhere. The market lone
was steady at best to mostly weak. Demand
was mixed, mostly fair, and generally
unaggressive in all areas. Supplies were
adequate to ample. Breaking stock supplies
were at least adequate for the fait demand,
and the undertone was cautiously steady.
Light type hen offerings remained adequ
ate to fully adequate for the light to fair
demand, and prices were unchanged.
