KINZERS (Lancaster Co.) —With all the talk about larger
farms, huge tractors, and humongous equipment, you may find
it hard to believe that a growing number of small farmers and
parttime hobbiests have created a market for draft hoses and
modified equipment you can maneuver with horses and small
tractors. But it’s true. And the hose and mule lovers
ag progress days June 24 and 25 at Elmer
Lapp’s Pequea Valley Farm, located on Martin
Road, should help to convince you.
“We hope to have an “Ag Progress Days” for
draft horses just like they do fo modem farm
machinery in State CoUege,” Lapp said.
