Prices were unchanged. The market tone
wu steady at best, and generally cautious.
Cartoned egg demand wu no better than
moderate unless featured, and food service
demand was fair to instances good. Sup
plies were adequate to ample. Breaking
stock supplies were adequate or available
for the fair and unaggressive demand, and
prices were generally unchanged. Light
type hen offerings were at least adequate
for the fair at best demand, and the under
tone was about steady to weak.

Movement of ready-to-oook whole birds
was light to good, mostly moderate, and
best on 3 pound and smaller sizes. Move
ment on die heavier sizes was fair. Live
supplies were moderate, instances heavy;
weights were desirable to heavy. Process
ing schedules continued very heavy. Less
than trucklot asking prices were unchanged
at 55 to 67 cents. Trade sentiment was
steady to firm. In the parts complex, all
items were at least adequate. Sellers looked
for increased activity mid to late week as
buyers would need additional supplies for
the weekend and the first of the month.

The market tone waa barely steady and
cautious. Buying interest was veiy limited
as dealers closely watched related markets.
Raw materials were usually readily avail
able and further processors were reluctant
to pats up bargains. Floor stocks were fully
adequate with most plants running full
schedules and building inventories.
