Egg Market
Wednesday, April 20, 1994
NATIONAL EGG MARKET-AT A
GLANCE; Prices were unchanged to lower
on all sizes in the Northeast, generally
unchanged elsewhere. The maricet tone
was barely steady to weak. Demand was
fair to good where featured and into food
service channels, only light to fair else
where. Supplies were adequate to ample
with light weight eggs in the best balance.
Breaking stock supplies were at least
adequate for the mostly moderate demand,
and prices were lower. Light type hen
offerings remained at least adequate for the
limited demand, and the trade sentiment
remained barely steady to about steady.
