Watch the Sky
Astronomy is Fun! That's the annual message of Astronomy
Day, a day set aside each spring to “bring astronomy to
the people,” with events and displays planned across the
country It’s April 16th this year, and with the Moon two
days prior to first quarter, there'll be plenty to see in the
night sky. To find out what’s planned in your area, contact
your local planetanum or astronomy club. Didn't know you
had a local astronomy club? For $1 postage and handling.
Sky & Telescope magazine, one of the 15 cosponsors of
Astronomy Day, will send a listing of U.S. clubs. Or, send for
their informative article “Getting Started in Astronomy,”
