Grassland FFA
On March 11, the Grassland
FFA Chapter held its 35th Annual
Parent and Member Banquet at the
Yoders Restaurant and Banquet
Hall.
One-hundred and eighty peo
ple, including members, parents,'
and friends of the FFA, were in
attendance.
Jason Reifsnyder, statewide
vice president, brought greetings
from the State FFA Association.’

To Museum
HERSHEY (Dauphin Co.)
“Wheeling Through the Museum”
is a perfectly “fun” way to intro
duce youngsters ages 4-6 to the
fascinating world of museums.
Taught by Jan Dunkle, music
teacher and museum docent,
children wheel through the galle
ries, using a specially designed
push toy, making stops in special
exhibits where there are intro
duced to the displays through
music, song and movement activi
ties. A snack is included with the
programs. The class will be held
on Saturday, April 9, from 10-11

A lamb will visit the museum
for the class “This Is The Way To
Spin The Wool” so that young
sters can see just where wool com
es from and learn about its produc
tion. Children ages 7-9 will learn
to card, spin, and weave. They’ll
be taught to use the cleaning
cards, drop spindles, and spinning
wheel. The class will be held on
Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m.-12
noon. The cost for the class is $6
for museum members and $9 for
non-members. Patricia
Longenecker is the teacher for the
class.
Workshop
seminar to help you team some
tricks for designing gardens with
children in mind. She’ll cover
plant choices and ideas that make
the garden accessible, safe, and
fun for kids.
The “Children’s Gardens”
program will be held at the Mont
gomery County 4-H Center, in
Creamery. The Montgomery
County 4-H Center is located on
Route 113, about 1 mile south of
the intersection of Route 113 and
Route 73, near Skippack. The cost
to attend is $5 which includes all
reference materials.
