in the 24th annual Penn
marva Young Coopera
tor Contest March
23-24 at the Willow
Valley Resort and Con
ference Center in Lan
caster.
Sponsored annually
by the Pennmarva
Dairymen’s Federation,
the contest recognizes
outstanding leadership
skills and knowledge of
cooperatives. A panel
of three judges will se
lect an Outstanding
Young Cooperator cou
ple and four runners-up.
The nine contestants,
kinown as Young Co
operators, were selected
to participate in the pro
gram based on their dai
ry proficiency and com
munity leadership. The
couples and the Atlantic
districts they represent
are Richard and Betsy
Moris of Newark, Del.,
District 4; Thomas and
Shirley Krall of Leba
non, District 7; John
and Julie Mayer of
Taneytown, Md., Dist
rict 10; and Victor and
Carolyn Yoder of Belle
