ford County Dairy Day was held
recently in the main auditorium of
the Troy Middle School.
There were more than 350 at
tendees, of which 229 were farm
ers. They spent most of the day
listening to the programs, visiting
exhibitors, meeting with friends,
and enjoying lunch at the adjacent
cafeteria.
The morning program featured
William Menzi of Cornell discuss
ing the pros and cons of manure
storage and Dennis Buckmaster of
Penn State on large round bale
storage.
The afternoon program featured
discussion on BST. Jacob Gug
gey, Bradford County agent, and

Couhty dairy princess gave a pre
sentation on her activities. She
was followed by Scott Wolrath,
Mary Barrett, and Stacy Hulsland
cr, 4-H leaders, who spoke on 4-H
activities.
Mark Madden, an extension
agronomist, will be working for
Bradford and Susquehanna coun
ties. He called attention to the tip
coming Bradford County Agron
omy Day on March IS at the Wy
sox Fire Hall in Wysox. Interested
