New Regulations Improve Labeling For Liming Materials HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co.) Agriculture Secretary Boyd E. Wolff has announced the creation of new regulations dealing with agricultural liming materials. The regulations require manufacturers to provide more information about the materials. Lancaster Farming, was awarded the 1994 Northeast Farm Communicator Association Award for excellence for the best photojournalism farm story at the association’s winter meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire, ear lier this month. The Communica tor Association is a group of pro fessional agricultural journalists, broadcasters, and public relations persons from the Northeast part of the U.S. The winning story featured the bulk milk tank truck driver who left his small son waiting at home for his daddy to return from days of non-stop efforts to get the milk from farm to plant in the blizzard snows of 1993. Newswanger is the 1993 Honor ary County Agent named by the Pennsylvania Agricultural County Agents Association at their annual meeting in State College in November. Farm Bureau supports passage of a balanced budget constitutional amendment to bring discipline to runaway federal spending.
