steady. Retail demand ranged moderate to
good. Supplies were generally sufficient to
meet dealer needs. Traders reported busi

Pricei continued their upward trend.
Trading was limited as higher values on
finished product had buyers generally
await further market developments prior to
making any committments. Raw materials
were held with confidence and several
further processors opted to work reduced
schedules rather than build higher priced
inventories. Floor stocks were sufficient to
handle present trade needs.

Buying interest was very light due in
part to adverse weather throughout the
area. Supplies of boneless skinless breasts
with tenders were in fairly good balance
and traded at the 1.85 level; product with
out tenders was fully adequate and traded
mostly at 1.80. Some heavier boneless
skinless was available at lower prices and
slow to clear. Line run breasts were in
close balance but most buyers were quite
selective and current offerings were slow
to clear. Some buyers could use product for
late week. Dark meat items were well
cleared at current prices. Wings continued
in close balance but trading was at
unchanged prices.

The market undertone was mostly steady.
Demand overall was moderate with some
improvement noted where features were in
progress. In the North Atlantic area delive
ries were been affected by adverse weather
conditions. Supplies ranged from in close
balance to adequate for current needs. Cen
tral States Breaking stock prices trended
unchanged; undertone was steady. Offer
ings of spent fowl to processing plants
were short to about adequate.
