Corn Growers Need
Whatever bill finally
appears, the require
ments spelled out in it
would not have to be
fully in effect on farms

portions of the bill, the
bottom line, according
to Stawick, is that spon
sors of the bill are wait
ing to see the report
from the National
Academy of Sciences

this year. The study
looks at identification
and delimitation criteria,
spelling out what consti
tutes a wetland and what
provisions for protec
tion might be.
