Every year at the Farm Show
there are new and more things for
kids to do. Whether you go for the
day or for'the week, you will find
plenty of activities to keep you
entertained.
This year, a popular booth for
kids was the Youth Against Tobac
co Team. Thousands stopped by
the booth to pick up colorful anti
smoking posters and pins.
The one poster featured animals
smoking cigarettes and read; Nev-

Joseph Lee Rutt, 6, and his brother Austin, 1, hold up the

shouldn't smoke,” Joseph said, “because It looks stupid
and it isn’t good for you.” The boys are the sons of Leonard
and Marlene Rutt of Denver.

Visitors could exchange a hat,
T-shirt or any article of clothing
that was part of tobacco promotion
for a new one with an anti-smoking
message.
Kids were encouraged to sign a
pledge to become a member of the
Youth Against Tobacco and prom
ise not to use any tobacco pro
ducts, including cigarettes, cigars,
pipes, and smokeless tobacco.
They also promised to encourage
others not to use tobacco products.
