Open House Draws 200
Farmers In Snow Storm
ANNVILLE, (Lebanon Coun
ty)—The big snow storm this week
stopped many activities but not the
open house on the farm of Tom and
Lucille Shuey. Their new 38* x 97’
dairy bam and new holding area,
maternity pens and a new milk
house and parlor was the focus of
the supplier/manufacturer event A
fire of suspicious origin Feb. 1
destroyed the old bam. The new
facility was built to house their 180
Holstein dairy cows and young
stock.
When the snow story hit the
area, many farmers called to ask if
the open house was cancelled. But
the food was ready.

end we had 200 people or better.”

“It was lucky my husband woke
up,” Mrs. Shuey said. The fire
seemed to start in the hay mow.
We lost a lot in the fire, but we feel
a little better now that we have the
nice new buildings.

house to see the new facilities.
