HOUGHTALING Tioga County Correspondent WHITNEYVELLE (Tioga Co.) With their fiscal year coming to a close, the Tioga County Fair board of directors held then annual banquet to introduce the new board members and elect officers for the coming year. Stepping into the position of 1994 presi dent of the Fair’s Tioga County Agricultural Association (TCAA) division, Dr. David Reese replaced outgoing president Kevin Houghtaling. Having served as a Tioga County Fair director for nine years, eight of which he reigned as president, Houghtaling relin quished his position on the board in accor dance with TCAA bylaws which stipulate board members can serve no more than three consecutive three-year terms, then leave the board for a period of one year before being eligible for election to the board again. He will remain an active volunteer as chairman of the Tioga County Fair track committee and will also serve as Tioga County Fair Manager. Other officers elected to the 1994 TCAA are Anne Clark, secretary; Laurie Hamblin, treasurer, and Leland “Harry” Rouse, vice president The Fair’s North Central Agricultural Association (NCAA) division, a sister organi zation to TCAA, elected Jill Wood as secret ary. Wood replaced Dorothy Norman, who served as NCAA secretary for two years. Other officers elected to the 1994 NCAA are president Ernest Norman, vice president Jon Cooper, and treasurer Kelly Doan. Directors elected to the board were Jon Cooper, Jill Wood, Sherry Courtney, Marty Baker, Tom White, and Tom Brown.
