Egg Market
Tuesday, November 23, 1993
NATIONAL EGG MARKET - AT A
GLANCE: All prices were unchanged to
lower in the Mid-Atlantic region, mediums
were unchanged to lower in the Midwest,
and the balance of prices were unchanged.
The market tone was steady to weak, gen
erally cautious. Retail demand was mod
erate to very good, mostly good for last
minute Thanksgiving orders. Supplies
were adequate to ample, and the light sizes
were the most available. Breaking slock
prices were generally unchanged under a
barely steady trade sentiment, and offer
ings were fully adequate for the light and
unagressive buyer interest Live hen sup
plies were mixed, and the market tone was
generally steady.
