AGA Releases Latest Production Results REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio Heather Hjetland of Topeka, Kan sas, recently took top honors in the senior showmanship class at the National Junior Guernsey Show in Louisville, Kentucky. Barney Homback of Elizabeth town, Kentucky, served as the judge. Headier received a plaque and a $lOO savings bond donated by Dan and Loretta Mithoefer of Silver Lake, Indiana, for her out standing performance with her partner, 4-year-old Veguita Czar Roselind. Mike Hickman of Cleveland, Tenn., placed second in the senior division showing his junior year ling, Hickman Valleys Doris BT Frank. After some de liberation, the final decision was handed down and Wincrest Vay In the junior showmanship class, Judge Homback was very impressed with his first place win ner Emilie Blough of Middlebury, Indiana. Emilie showed her junior calf, Brookside Perfecto Julie, and received a plaque and a $75 sav ings bond sponsored by Dan and Loretta Mithoefer of Silver Lake, Indiana. Amanda Derr of Carey, Ohio, placed second with her junior calf, Mona Lous Tex Josie. She was awarded with a $5O savings bond by Clark and Joy Vilter of Hart land, Wisconsin. In third was Lucas Ayars of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, with his senior calf. Land of Living Smokin Melody. She has pro duction records over 27,000 pounds of milk in 365 days. The reserve grand champion ti tle went to the second place 4-year-old, “Tom Dee,” a West lynn Emory Tom daughter owned by the partnership of Mark Rueth, Randy Kortus and Clark and Joy Vilter, Hartland, Wisconsin. “Tom Dee” did come out in the lead at the national Guernsey show in Madison where she was named grand champion. It was fitting for a royalty like Burgess Farm Franks Princess to be crowned with junior champion honors, according to the American Guernsey Association. “Princess” is owned by Walter and Amy Re cord of Lyme, New Hampshire, and was also the first place junior yearling of the show. Mike Brymesser, Boiling Springs and Neal McCulloch, Newville, were elected to three year terms on the advisory com mittee of the Cumberland local unit of DHIA. In other business, David Wal ton. Carlisle who completed his three-year term as director was re cognized for his efforts. Mike Brymesser will be replacing Da vid on the advisory committee.
