—lt’s been 76 yean, but the Socie
ty of Farm Women of Lancaster
County have not stopped spreading
happiness. This year, members
raised more than $4,700 few
Christ’s Home, a home for child
ren; $2,223 for the heifer project,
which donates a food-producing
animal to a needy family who in
turns donates the first offspring to a
needy family; and $10,500 to local
projects.
The county society held its 76th
annual convention on November 6,
at the Farm and Home Center,
Lancaster.
At the day-long convention, a
recap of the activities of the 29
county societies showed that mem
bers gave of themselves by donat
ing time and money for the follow
ing; cancer pads, food bank. Meals
On Wheels, libraries, Self-Help
Warehouse, Lancaster AIDS. See
ing Eye. Springs of Living Water,
Teen Challenge, Lung Associa
tion. and needy families.
In addition to the county project
for Christ Home and the state Heif
er project, more than $10,500 was

Much of the finances raised together, learning new hobbies and
were earned by holding craft crafts, and eiyoycd poetry recitals
