cattle and calvee steady to $2.00 higher,
steer calves mostly steady. Trade mod
erately active, demand good. Qiality of
supply average. Yearling weigh-ups aver
age to moldy full, calves with avenge fills.
Yearling flesh conditions average. Flesh
conditions of calves predominately soft,
however number of weaned calves
increased. Rain needed in western sector of
state for wheat growth. Central and eastern
areas in good shape with calves starting to
be turned out this week however rain wel
come. 1200 cows and bulls included in tot
al receipts. Slaughter cows $l.OO-53.00
lower; slaughter bulls steady. Packer
demand light to moderate. Country
demand moderate to good for under 9 year
olds and suitable for wheat pasture.
Receipts this week 10,925; last week
8,402; last year 9,039. Supply consisted of
45 percent yearlings and calves over 600
lbs,; 44 percent calves under 600 lbs.; 11
